Dear Tim and Bruce,
We wanted to take the time to not only thank you, but also provide your future customers with a taste of the experience we had working with you. In a market saturated with lenders, brokers and the like, you guys absolutely set the bar! The experience was one that compelled us to take time to write about it and now with our home refinanced thanks to you, we can feel confident with our financial future.
So, it all started about 8 months ago, when a colleague of mine recommended we contact IQuest mortgage, the company he had used to refinance his own home. While we weren't necessarily in the market to refinance just yet, my friend still suggested we call. I remember him saying, "you will not regret this, better yet, you will be smarter for it."
My partner and I had only been in our home a little over a year. This house was our first and to Get a piece of that American dream in Orange County required that we sign into a 2 year ARM that would likely change ( for the worse) right after the first2 4 months. It made us nervous knowing that interest rates could change dramatically in two years, so while we weren't necessarily looking to refinance, we had our eyes wide open.
In the first year of home ownership we probably received over 1000 refinance offers from companies all over the country. Each promised the best rates, each offered the lowest points, each promised to be the best service provider, etc., etc., etc. Needles to say, my partner and I had reservations about dealing with another mortgage company. My partner was savvier as it related to the mortgage business as she had spent some time working in the business and knew that most of the advertisements were merely tactics to bait and switch.
So, when my colleague recommended we call lQuest Mortgage back in mid-2006, we weren't exactly running to the phone. When we finally did make the call, what we thought would be a waste of time, instead turned out to be the beginning of a long-term relationship.
When we first met with Tim Matthews and Bruce Dippong of lQuest the vibe just felt right. At the risk of sounding corny, we got the impression that we were part of their family, being given honest and carefully thought-through advice. We were quickly set at ease and knew that they were interested in us as people, not just a source of revenue. Both took time out of their busy schedules to review our options and even though a refinance so early into our current mortgage didn't make sense at that time, they stayed with us until we decided to move forward. They never once pressured us and always thought to drop a line to say hello. I have to say this again, "they stayed with us for over 8 months and only asked that we give them the opportunity to be of service when we were ready to refinance!!"
When that time did finally arrive, the process was definitely more of a challenge for them than it was for us. They did an outstanding job shielding us from the often times tedious process of securing the best possible deal. They did provide us with many options and in doing so gave us control of our financial future.
In the end, we locked in a great rate and ended-up with two people we consider friends. They were very generous with their time and made sure to always treat us with respect. We are now a month in to some long awaited home improvements and know that we wouldn't be in this position without the professional assistance of both Tim and Bruce.
In a day and age where customer services seems to have lost that personal touch, we found two gentlemen who epitomize how things should be done. We would recommend them to anyone and everyone.
How often can you say that about a customer service experience?
